"Sea Gate House“ is only a three minute walk from the beach and can accommodate up to six persons. The rooms can be booked individually. There are two bedrooms with king size beds and bathrooms ensuite and a third bedroom with twin beds. It is a bungalow situated next to our private home. There are living/dining room, large kitchen and a private terrace and garden. The kitchen has a microwave, tea kettle, refrigerator, toaster and stove/oven. You will be able to prepare full meals. Stepping out of your living room you will find a private terrace ideal for enjoying your meals and lounging. Kitchen, living- and dining area and terrace are for common use.
You will have personal attention by the owner. Beach chairs and beach towels are free of charge.
You enjoy a 20% discount with "Grand Bahama Nature Tours", free entrance to "Garden of the Groves". These features will contribute to making your vacation an unforgettable experience.

My husband and I rented Seagate House, Freeport, Grand Bahama Island (Lucaya area), in February, 2018 ... and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. So much so.. it was a teary farewell, when it was time to leave. Erika Gates, (owner) was most accommodating and endearing throughout our on-line correspondence and beyond. As well, throughout the duration of our stay, Erika, her husband Ed, and all her personal staff, more than delivered on all the amenities and offerings, promised and/or listed on her site.
Seagate House and its beautiful island environs are immaculately kept and tastefully decorated. From the minute we walked through the front door, it felt like home! In addition to its large kitchen and its Great room (which includes a large dining area), its spacious bedrooms feature lovely bed linens and its new beds are wonderfully comfortable. The screened-in patio, overlooking the spacious yard and flowering gardens, was a welcome gathering place for candlelit cocktails at days' end, and having daily access to Erika's private garden and bird sanctuary ... a calming, stillness unlike any other.
Lucaya Beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of Grand Bahama Island, is a mere 2 min. walk from Seagate House, and its white, velvety-texture sand and aqua surf are surely second to none. Needless to say ... we spent many hours on its shore... wiling the hours away, under blue skies and never-ending sunshine. We hope to return Erika's "unspoiled piece of heaven", again and again! We also hope all of you reading this will be lucky enough to experience Seagate House sometime, too.

Erika’s place is wonderful! Secluded and yet still close to restaurants and stores, bikes for rent as well as jeeps, and great local tips all make this a total win. We will definitely be back.

Very spacious room in a house just steps away from the beach and about 10-15 min from Port Lucaya. Nice kitchen with all necessities and spacious living room as well as a tropical garden. Very nice stay.

A Super Amazing Host in a dream house!!! Pick up arranged from the airport if you want, 2 min walking to the beach, bird sanctuary as garden of the house were you can see and ear the birds and butterfly's in the morning, 10min walking from Fort Lukaya were you have several food options and dives with dolphins, reef or sharks. 15min bicycle to the supermarket and great bikes for hire from Erika for some rides as most of the roads are flat. If not Erika can arrange you a jeep for some road and off-road experience... and you always have the opportunity to get some amazing tours with your host as she ownes a tour company and is just a call away. House simple dream with great spaces, good toilets and very good kitchen were you can cook some nice meals and have them on the porche that is also amazing!!! Super great time and money value!!! This place is absolutely stunning!! My husband and I booked this space last minute and from the moment I started communicating with Mrs. Erika's niece (who was in Germany) to the moment we pulled up to the door the hospitality was A-1!!! The space was clean and BEAUTIFUL! The back deck was breathtaking with all the beautiful, colorful flowers. IT WAS JUST MARVELOUS!! Will def be staying here on our next visit! Where to start, I had such a wonderful stay with Erika. The house is massive and very comfortable. Huge bed, great hot shower, equipped kitchen, and Netflix!!! Quiet garden to sunbathe in and a 4 min walk down the path to a secluded beach strip with the clearest water I’ve ever seen. Erika organised a bike for me so I was able to cycle to a supermarket 10min away and do a food shop and a 10min cycle down to the local market area with cafes and bars. Erika has a cat rescue pen with 50 lovely cats to play with, which was a highlight of my day. Erika is approachable and lovely. All in all, the perfect place to stay in Lucaya! Thanks Erika!!!
